The Local Academy Council (LAC) are recruiting for volunteers to support the community at Littleton Green Community School. We currently have 4 Co-opted (Community) governor positions.

Our LAC has three core functions:

– Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction.
– Holding executive leaders to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its pupils, and the effective and efficient performance management of staff.
– Overseeing financial performance of the organisation and making sure its money is well spent.

Our LAC meets 3 times per year as a full board and governors who have an area of responsibility meet with school leaders up to an additional 3 times across the academic year.

If you would like more information please contact either John Crossan (jcrossan@littletongreen.staffs.sch.uk) or Ryan Pritchard (rpritchard@littletongreen.staffs.sch.uk). John and Ryan are Co-Chairs of the LAC for this academic year.

Alternatively, if you would like to register your interest, please contact our Clerk to the Governors, Pat Tortoishell (pat.tortishell@entrustclerk.com) with the subject ‘Littleton Green LAC Co-Opted Vacancies’. Please include your name, contact number and a few lines detailing why you are interested in joining the LAC.

We are an informed and skilled board with a range of professional experience across public and private sectors who are committed to ensuring the educational offering for our pupils at Littleton Green is the best it can be. We would be delighted to take on members who share this vision. Training and induction is provided. LAC members require an enhance Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. This will be undertaken by Staffordshire University Academies Trust (SUAT).

We look forward to hearing from you.
